I've been trying to write my stories for so long now and never actually writing anything. I've been wondering if I should just keep them to myself. I can't imagine anyone wants to read them. I don't even think one comes to my page anyway or even read this.

I'm thinking of deleting the chapter of the story I'm writing. At least until I write more. I'm not sure what to do.
Which is better?
Is it better to release a work you are not happy with, just to get something out?
or
Is it better to hold on to it, until you feel it is ready?
another update
I really hate this. I sit down to write and I loss all motivation. I have Ideas for all the stories I want to write while I am at work, but I sit down at my pc and they don't want to come out. hopefully I'll be able to finish the first chapter of my one story before I go on vacation, near the end of july.
Just a Quick update
For those of you waiting for the story I mentioned. I am working on in. With working nights, getting to the Diablo 3 (while it was still going), tiredness, sickness, and general rusty writing skills have made this slow going.
I am working on it. So please bear with me. I'll get something up as soon as possible.

I still read it! .... I can't answer whether you should show your stories to the world or not, but you should definitely write them either way. Writing is not a good urge to deny, it will just build up inside you, and you'll get more angry at yourself for not doing it. And who knows... maybe once it's down on paper (or a screen, as it were), you'll decide to give it a try and let others read them.
